Education and Academic Level: National Ordinary Higher Vocational Education

Length of Schooling: 3 Years

Training Standard: The program aims to cultivate skilled talents with all-around development of virtue, intelligence, physical conditions,mind status and community service. The training should endow them with fundamental theory, elemental knowledge and basic skills of the major. After graduation, they are supposed to meet the requirements of the work of breeding enterprises, veterinary medicine and feed enterprises, and veterinary organizations or even to be able to become self-employed.

Core Curriculum: Animal Anatomy and Physiology, Prevention and Treatment Technology of Animal Infectious Diseases, Animal Internal Medicine Diagnosis and Treatment Techniques, Animal Surgery and Obstetric Diagnosis and Treatment Techniques, Prevention and Treatment of Animal Parasitosis; Animal Nutrition and Feed Science, and Animal Breeding and Breed Improvement etc.

Cultivating Mode: We apply Four-Part Form “2+1”Work-integrated Cultivating Mode, and the teaching model is based on the work process and the teaching means involves “teaching, learning and practice”.

Experimental Training Establishment: In the school, we have Veterinary Hospital, Complex Laboratory of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary, Experimental Animal House; Outside the school, we have 22 student practice bases including? Hubei Branch of Chia Tai Group, Kaili Hongda Pig Breading Farm, Kaili Wanfu Feed Factory, East Hope Group of Fujian Province, Liping Rare Bird Farm, Tongren Dongtai Group, Guomei Veterinary Medicine Supermarket etc. Among the various practical training programs, we have Nutrition for Livestock and Poultry and Feed Processing, Environmental Monitoring for Livestock and Poultry Production, Herbivore Production Techniques, Basic Veterinary Diagnosis and Treatment Techniques, Animal Histopathologic Slide Techniques, Biological Specimen Techniques, Veterinary Medicine and Feed Testing and Detection, and Animal Disease Detection and so on.

The Major of Forestry Technology

Length of Schooling: 3 Years

Training Standard: The program aims to cultivate skilled talents with all-around development of virtue, intelligence, physical conditions,mind status and community service. The training should endow them with fundamental theory, elemental knowledge and basic skills of forest cultivation, inventory, management and protection. After graduation, they are supposed to meet the requirements of the work of forest cultivation, management, monitoring, forestation, and plant seed and seedling production and so on.

Core Curriculum: Soil and Fertilizer, Forest Plants, Forest Environment, Forest Survey Techniques, Forestry 3S Information Technology, Forestry Plant Seed and Seedling Production, Forest Pest Control Techniques, Forest Resources Management, Forestation Techniques etc.

Cultivating Mode: We apply work-integrated cultivating mode which includes two sections of ability cultivation (The learning process is pided into two sections. In the first section, students will spend two years learning knowledge in school and practicing in real working environment outside school alternately; when in the second section, students will go to enterprises entering the industry to learn through real working.) The combination of school and enterprises ensures the cooperative education between industry and college and lets students study and practice alternately, and the teaching means involves “teaching, learning and practice”.

Experimental Training Establishment: In the college, we have experimental training rooms of plants, plant physiology, tree specimens, soil, forest protection and forest survey; Yatang Orchard and Tissue Culture Center etc. Outside the college, we have long-term cooperation bases with 16 county forestry bureaus, 6 tree farms and Leigongshan Environmental Protection Bureau.

Training Standard: The program aims to cultivate skilled talents with all-around development of virtue, intelligence, physical conditions, mind status and community service. The training should endow them with fundamental theory, elemental knowledge and basic skills of garden planning and design, garden engineering, landscape drawing, garden plant planting and cultivation, garden pest control, urban landscape and green land planning and design etc. After graduation, they are supposed to be qualified for the work of garden planning, design, management and production, the work of flower and plant production and marketing, garden plant planting and cultivation, turf building and maintenance, potted landscape production, floriculture design and so on.

Core Curriculum: Landscape Drawing, Garden Planning and Design, Garden Engineering, Garden Plants, Garden Survey, Garden Plant and Flower Production Techniques, Garden Plant Planting and Cultivation, Garden Pest Control, Garden Project Budgeting etc.

Cultivating Mode: We apply work-integrated cultivating mode which includes two sections of ability cultivation(The learning process is pided into two sections. Experimental Training Establishment: In the college, we have Computer-assisted Design Room, Yatang Practice Base, TissueCultureCenter, Computer Practical Training Room. Outside the college, we have co-built practice bases with Qiandongnan Ecological Landscaping and Engineering Co. Ltd and Qiandongnan Qingyuan Landscaping and Engineering Co. Ltd and other landscape corporations in GuizhouProvince.

The Major of Horticultural Techniques

Length of Schooling: 3 Years

Training Standard: The program aims to cultivate skilled talents with all-around development of virtue, intelligence, physical conditions, mind status and community service. The training should endow them with fundamental theory, elemental knowledge and basic skills of horticulture science. After graduation, they are supposed to meet the requirements of the work of fruit farming(including vegetable, tea and characteristic plants), breeding, elite breeding, the commercialization of products, pest control, product storage and processing, applied technology test, agricultural technology development and popularization. Besides, the graduates will also have certain management and operation ability of the industry.

Core Curriculum: ?Soil Improvement and Fertilization Techniques, Horticultural Plants and Environment, Horticulture Pest Control, Horticultural Product Harvest, Storage, Transportation and Processing, Fruit Tree Production Technology, Horticultural Seedling Breeding Technology, Vegetable Production Technology, Facility Horticulture Technology, Horticultural Product Management etc.

Cultivating Mode: We apply “double-tutor”, “learn and do” personnel training mode with two sections in two environments in turn to achieve ability improvement (The learning process is pided into two sections. In the first section, students will spend two years learning knowledge in school and practicing basic skills in real working environment outside school alternately; When in the second section, students will go to enterprises entering the industry to learn through real working.) Experimental Training Establishment: In the college, we have plant cultivation and protection complex laboratory, tissue culture center, fruit and vegetable base, agricultural technology service center, flower and plant base, planning and drawing training room and garden etc. Outside the college, we have long-term cooperative practice bases with many enterprises. Among them, there are “Dual Study, Dual Campaign” Demonstration Base of Longchang, Kaili, Blueberry Base of Majiang, Early Vegetable Base of Xiasi, Jinsheng Agriculture Development Co.
