Our College Students Won the Third Prize for Forest Tree Seed Quality Test of the Second National Vocational College Forestry Skills Competition
On March 25th, he Second National Vocational College Forestry Skills Competition was held in Liaoning Forestry Vocational Technical College. The competition was sponsored by China State Forestry Administration, undertook by Liaoning Forestry Vocational Technical College. The theme of the competition this year is to show the the building of forestry and let vocational skills promote entrepreneurship. There are 202 students from 50 vocational colleges participating in this competition.
The competition was divided into 2 groups, two competition items for middle vocational school: flower arrangement competition and forest tree seed quality test competition; four competition items for higher education school: handmade carpentry competition, garden design competition, forest tree seed quality test competition and plant tissue culture competition. One student from School of Biological and Environmental Engineering of our college took part in forest tree seed quality test competition for higher education school.
After intense struggle, Yang Mingxia won the third prize and was ranked 12th place with the good score 88.5 point, which is the best result above all three participating schools.
This competition aims to deepen the reform of forestry vocational education, to improve the cooperation between schools and enterprise, to promote the craftsman spirit, to train qualified forestry people, to boost modernization construction of forestry and to promote the influence of forestry vocational education.
